Broken, Paul Roberts' Journey
Paul Roberts, a valued member of The Alliance, had reached a crossroads in his life where he had to make a decision. He was tired of fighting and knew he had to quit before he lost friends, family and ultimately his life. His problem was hidden to most, even those closest to him, as he functioned at work and in social settings. It was when he was by himself, alone with his thoughts, that his problem reared its ugly head and led him down a path of destructive behavior.
"Broken," which chronicles Roberts' journey out of the dark and back to a world where he isn't scared of what happens next, was filmed in various locations around Dallas, Texas in May by AMP Studios. The three-day shoot followed the entire Roberts' family during their day-to-day schedule and interactions with friends and members of The Alliance. An honest and open video, "Broken" takes you inside Roberts' inner circle where few people, much less a production team, would ever be granted such unlimited access to share Roberts' story.
Through this video, we learn how Roberts was able to overcome his problem, become a better person, parent and husband with the help of his chosen family, "The Alliance." The change started when Roberts simply prayed to God to "make me stop, because I couldn't do it on my own." Roberts' candid interviews explain the personal hell he was living, but also reveals how the support of his family and his best friends allowed him to climb out of a dark period in his life.
Roberts, in his early 40s, now sees a brighter future and an opportunity to make up for so much lost time he can never get back. Through "Broken," Roberts hopes at least one more person is able to face their problem and come out stronger just like he did. "It's important that people know they aren't alone," Roberts says. "It doesn't matter what you are facing, it's about knowing that you can make things right."

National Agents Alliance 2013 Spring War Parties
The latest round of 2013 War Parties concluded this week as National Agents Alliance hosted 18 training meetings across the country. The Alliance's own Andy Albright, along with top leaders Chris Baldwin, Patrick Connors, Eric Bellaire, and Paul Roberts led meetings in Orlando, FL, Atlanta, GA, and Burlington, NC.
In addition to the annual National Convention and Leadership Conference typically held in NAA's home state of North Carolina, War Parties serve as a way to bring the leaders "to the people". With War Parties, agents don't need to invest in hotel rooms and airfare to obtain training from the company's leaders.
War Parties began in 2012, and a record-setting number of agents attended this latest series of meetings in May. During the afternoons, insurance agents of the Alliance learn new insurance products and new ways to serve their clients. They learn leadership and how to build a stable, profitable insurance business using the National Agents Alliance system.
In the evenings, NAA opens the meeting up to outsiders who are interested in understanding how the system works, and how to become a part of National Agents Alliance, enjoying the prospect of financial freedom and flexibility while having fun and making a difference in the lives of others.

National Agents Alliance recently had members of its agent force and staff volunteer during the Duke Children's Hospital MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM Radiothon, helping to raise more than $1.1 million during the event. All of the volunteers had a great time supporting a worthy cause, and they were able to raise over $200,000 during the three hours that the National Agents Alliance volunteers were there. National Agents Alliance's Award Ceremony during the 2013 National Convention was full of surprises!
Jane Albright and Coach presented key staff members with awards, much to Coach's dismay. Press Secretary extraordinaire, Mac Heffner, decided to bring a little spice to the ceremony with some music and dancers after receiving his award, with the rest of the staff members joining in on the fun in an impromptu flash mob!
Not to be outdone, Coach reprized his role of boogey down master from the 2012 Convention Kickoff Ceremony, and stepped up with Gina Hawks to show the staff how to get your groove on!
