NAActivity Call: November 6, 2015
November 6, 2015: Andy Albright delivered this week's NAActivity Call live from his office at National Agents Alliance corporate headquarters.
Andy talked about how finding your "why" helps you achieve your NAActivity. When people figure out that it isn't about money, themselves, etc. then their activity can explode. There are five steps you can use to help you find your "why."
Why is your "why" important? Do you want to leave a legacy, and do you want to matter to others? To achieve that, you need to create a vision for your purpose and goal. Once you know your purpose in your journey, then you know why you are heading in that direction and you are better prepared for the road you are taking. When you are focused on your mission, you seemingly get more things done because you are clear about what is coming and what is about to happen. Noise or distractions don't limit you as much when you have the vision in your head.
We talk about having fun, making money and making a difference. That's the mission. If you know where you are going, then getting there is easier. Once you find your "why" then you are more likely to know "the way." Every task, action, behavior matters and it creates movement. Who we are determines what we do. When we get our "why" right and focus, then we set the example for others to follow. We do it 24 hours a day and we do it seven days a week.
If you don't know your why, you do have to work on doing the "do." As time goes on, the "why" will work itself out as you keep getting things done. Finding your why and realizing that you matter will help you become more effective.
When you have a reason, then you know the method and things are more clear. When the "why" changes then everything else changes too. It moves to an emotional thing. Every single person is worthy of finding their "why." A lot of people don't believe that and it limits where they go and what they do in life. What are you trying to accomplish? What is your focus? What do you want to do in life? Every purpose deserves a true North Star and purpose.
You have to sit down and spend 10 minutes thinking and writing down your goals and desires in life. Without purpose, life is pretty meaningless. People need hope to find their purpose. When you have meaning in your life, you have hope and purpose.
When you have a burning desire that is when your "why" and purpose are on the right track. Significance is found in the mundane. All those little things that you continue doing add up and make a difference.
Five reasons your WHY helps you find your way.
When you know your why then you can help others find your why. Until you realize you matter, you wonder. If you haven't figured out your why then you can't help others. Knowing your why allows you to focus more on others and less on yourself.
Knowing you matter is very attractive.
You increase your credibility when you layer your "why." The evidence piles up based on your actions over time. When you show clearly that you stay on course, you are more credible. The deeper your "why" is translates into doing more.
Knowing your why leads to more momentum and more impact. It attracts more success and more people. This is achieved by doing the right thing with the right people at the right time. Everybody wants high, fast and quick. It doesn't work that way. You have to be steady and consistent.
Knowing you matter increases your why. If you can keep doing a little longer then you are more likely to continue the mission. More impact. More leverage. More focus. That's what happens when you know your "why." Knowing your why keeps you in the game longer. You do it until you get the vision and your why becomes very vivid.
Every person has a why. Every person was made to help mankind. Every person has a set of talents. Every person was created for a purpose. You have to look inside to discover it.
