The Wednesday Call (TWC) for November 4, 2015: Andy Albright hosted this week's TWC from Nashville, Tennessee and discussed how you can get the edge with The Alliance.

You have to be willing to make small changes to move up and stand out in this business. What steps will you take to make a commitment to be successful? The first thing you have to do is to believe in you. You have to believe that you can do this and you will do this.

What keeps people from going for it? Noise. Distractions. People telling them it can be done. Look around and see the kinds of things that people let distract them from doing the tasks they need to be doing. Distractions mess people up.

You have to work hard to stay focused on doing the mundane. You have to stay focused to get the things done every day that are important and need to be done.

How can you get ahead with The Alliance? Recruiting is one key to doing that. Talking to other people who are successful is way to get ahead. Riding in the car with an agent and taking notes is another way to do that. Invest time in people who want to grow and can help you grow.

There's an entire list of things you need to be checking consistently to make sure that you are on track to be successful. You need to be sensitive to the things you need to hear and oblivious to things that don't matter.

Do you suffer from approval addiction? What does that mean? This is when you are looking for approval from people that don't matter or will not help you moving forward. These people spend time around the wrong people, and it gets them distracted from what they should be doing. Now, you want to suffer from this by being around the right people, the right environment and the right activities. You have to remember to pour your time, energy and money into areas where you will keep growing and moving forward. When resources are placed in the right hands, you will see the results in time. Get addicted to being focused on the right things and for the right reasons in your life.

Foresters' Tony Garcia, Eric Miller and Darwin Hurme joined the call to talk about the 10-year anniversary of the partnership between Foresters and NAA. They promised that the next 10 years will be an even better decade for Foresters and The Alliance.
